KPD is asking for help locating missing teens

The Kaua‘i Police Department is asking for the public’s help with finding two teenagers.

According to police, in a news release, 17-year-old Daniel Kovalenko left his residence in California on Jan. 6 and has not been seen since then. He is believed to be on Kaua‘i in the Kapa‘a to Hanalei area.

Kovalenko is 5 feet, 10 inches tall, weighs 150 pounds, and has brown hair and blue eyes. He has a fair complexion and a slight build, and is Caucasian.

Bridget Sorenson, age 17, was reported a runaway on Feb. 25. She is 5 feet, 6 inches tall, weighs about 120 pounds, and has blue eyes and blond hair.

Sorenson has a light complexion and a small build, and is Caucasian.

Anyone with information about Kovalenko or Sorenson is urged to call KPD dispatch at 241-1711, KPD’s Investigative Services Bureau at 241-1696, or Crime Stoppers, 241-1887.
