Geoffrey Alan Craig
Geoffrey Craig of Anahola entered through the gates of heaven on March 1, 2007, at the age of 36.
Born on Dec. 31, 1970, in Huntington Beach, Calif., to Frank and Sue Craig, Geoff spent his childhood there attending school where he made lifelong friendships that have lasted to this day.
He moved to Kaua‘i in 1992 to pursue his lifelong passion of surfing and his love of the ‘aina. Soon afterwards he met his future wife, Melanie.
His love of Kaua‘i, his ‘ohana and everyone who crossed his path was evident in his gentle, caring and loving ways to all who knew him.
In 1995 his parents, sister Jennifer and future brother-in-law, Ryan Rutt, joined him on Kaua‘i.
He spent his years on Kaua‘i as owner of Kalalea Landscape and Maintenance.
Geoff is survived by his wife Melanie Craig, son Elijah and daughter Ruby of Anahola; maternal grandparents Ray and Wilma Smith of Drexel, Missouri; parents Frank and Sue Craig of Anahola; sister Jennifer Rutt, brother-in-law Ryan Rutt and niece Carlei Rutt of Kapa‘a; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and the entire Kells ‘ohana of Hope Valley, Rhode Island.
The family asks that friends join them for a memorial service on Saturday, March 10, at 2:30 p.m. on the beach at Anahola Beach Park.
A celebration of Geoff’s life will follow at the home of John and Leila Hankinson, 5200 Aliomanu Road, Anahola.
The family requests casual attire and leis are welcome.

Jameson R. Crowner of Kapa‘a, died at Wilcox Memorial Hospital on March 2, 2007, at the age of 61.
Born in Clevland, Ohio, on June 13, 1945, he was associated with Ship Store Galleries for the last 20 years.
He is survived by his former
wife, Robin Horn; son Robert Crowner of Southern California; daughter Allison Crowner of Santa Barbara, Calif.; two grandchildren; mother Martha Crowner of Newport Beach, Calif.; brother Cameron Crowner of Newport Beach, Calif.; and sister Libby Zenker of Santa Cruz, Calif.
Services are pending.

Lihu‘e died at Wilcox Memorial Hospital on Feb. 27, 2007, at the age of 78.
Born in Holualoa, Hawai‘i, on June 5, 1928, she was an office manager with the County of Kaua‘i.
She is survived by sons Roland (Robin) Yamamoto of Redmond, Wash., and Grant (Cynthia) Yamamoto of Hanama‘ulu; daughter Audrey Abe of Honolulu, O‘ahu; eight grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; three brothers, Milton (Laverne) Morikami of Hilo, Morris Morikami of Kona, and Melvin (Carolyn) Morikami of Honolulu, O‘ahu; sister Daisy (Alvin) Suezaki of Kona; brother-in-law George Halili; sister-in-law Mildred Morikami; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation with family from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, March 10, at the Garden Island Mortuary chapel; service officiated by Rev. George Maeda will begin at 3 p.m.
Casual attire is suggested.
