The public is invited to attend a series of workshops on the proposed Housing Policy for the county of Kaua‘i beginning Tuesday.
Presented by the County Council’s Committee on Community Assistance and Intergovernmental Relations, the first workshop is scheduled Tuesday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., in the Historic County Building.
An announcement will be made when future workshops are scheduled.
“We encourage everyone to attend the workshops and provide input on the proposed housing policy,” said Bernard Carvalho, director of the Offices of Community Assistance, in a press release.
“The policy will have long range effects on the entire community so it’s important that we hear from all segments of the community on this,” said Councilmember Shaylene Iseri-Carvalho, in the release.
Written testimonies may also be faxed to 241-6349, at least 24 hours before the workshop or emailed to cokcouncil@kauai.gov.
Copies of the proposed ordinance relating to the housing policy are available at the County Clerk’s office in the Historic County Building and on the county Web site, www.kauai.gov/Portals/0/council/agenda/workshops_other/2202%20hsg%20policy.pdf.
