HONOLULU — Hawai‘i women’s basketball coach Jim Bolla was released from the hospital following a medical procedure and is now at home recuperating, the university said Wednesday.
Bolla went on leave a day before the undisclosed procedure at the Queen’s Medical Center in Honolulu on Feb. 5. Associate head coach Pat Charity has been serving as interim head coach.
“The surgeons did a fantastic job and I’m feeling better and stronger every day,” Bolla said in a statement. “I’m thrilled by the success of the team and I’ll be rooting for them while I continue to recuperate. I don’t have a definitive timeframe for my return, but I’m hopeful it will be very soon.”
