Michiyo Murata
Michiyo Murata of Wailua Houselots died at home on Jan. 24, 2007, at the age of 64. She was born in Yamaguchi-ken, Japan, on Sept. 1, 1942, and worked as a Japanese narrator with Roberts Hawaii and Smith’s Tropical Boat Tours.
She is survived by her husband, Roy Murata; daughter Alison (Pedro) Manibusan of California; son Casey Murata of O‘ahu; stepson Michael (Murna) Murata of Hanapepe; sister Fumie Iwata, brothers Kiyoshi Morimoto and Yukio Morimoto and sister-in-law Mrs. Hoshide, all of Japan; two grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Services were private.
Kauai Memorial Gardens & Funeral Home assisted the family with arrangements.
David La faille
David La faille of Kilauea died at home on Jan, 24, 2007, at the age of 42. He was born in Alhambra, Calif., on Feb. 17, 1964, and worked as a craftsman building boats and canoes.
He is survived by his mother Lucinda (Lawrence) Sanchez; brother Dennis La faille; sisters Michelle (Andy) Irvin, Melissa Sanchez, Nicole (Michael) Libonati and Kimberly Sanchez; two aunts and uncles; and nieces and nephews.
Memorial services will be held on Wednesday, Feb. 14, 2007, at 5 p.m. at Kilauea Bay at Kahili Beach.
