Kaua‘i softball play starts today
Kaua‘i High’s softball team plays Pahoa of the Big Island in today’s second round of the state tournament.
The No. 2 Red Raiders were granted a bye for the first round, giving them an extra day of rest.
Pahoa made it to today’s game by defeating O‘ahu’s Kaiser Cougars, 11-4.
The teams face off today at 7 p.m. at the Central O‘ahu Regional Park. If they win, they move on to play the winner of the Kahuku/Maryknoll match-up.
In other Div. II games yesterday, Moloka‘i got past Farrington 2-1 to meet No. 4 Kamehameha-Hawai‘i. Maryknoll, 4-2 winner over Kohala, will face No. 3 Kahuku starting at 7 p.m.
