Recovering nicely from an opening-night loss last week, Ha‘aheo continued its winning ways with a 30-13 win over Wailua in the county’s 12 and Under girls league Wednesday at the Kalaheo Neighborhood Center.
Machaela Rapozo netted a game-high 14 points and Kellsie Fujimoto added 10 for Ha‘aheo.
Kele Das led Wailua with 8 points, followed by Kayla Tokuda with 3 points.
In Game 2, Lauren Claypoole burned the twine with a game-high 20 points to lead Gee’s Angels to a 49-12 flight over Kaulupono. Kristle Henry added a dozen points in the win.
Vakeesha Lagazo led Kaulupono with 7 points and Shayna Alop and Krista Kali helped with a pair apiece.
Taylor Garcia and Jennifer Grady combined for 14 points to lead the Island Heat to a 23-12 win over the Lihu‘e Kamakazes in the third game of the night.
Kawehi Louis-Diamond topped Kamakaze scorers with 5 points.
The girls 12 and Under hoopsters play Mondays and Wednesdays at the Kalaheo Neighborhood Center.
