HONOLULU — Record-breaking Hawai‘i quarterback Colt Brennan called off a second news conference in as many days Tuesday to announce whether he would skip his senior season and enter the NFL draft.
Struggling to make a decision, Brennan declared himself eligible for the draft Monday as a formality to meet the NFL deadline, but postponed a scheduled news conference that day saying he may still return to the Warriors.
His press conference Tuesday was called off 21/2 hours before the scheduled start and was moved to Wednesday. He has 72 hours since the NFL filing to withdraw his name.
Tennis captains’ meeting Sunday at Po‘ipu Kai
The Kaua‘i District Tennis Association’s captains’ meeting is Sunday at 1 p.m. at the Po‘ipu Kai tennis courts.
The meeting is for leaders for the upcoming Senior (50 and up) and Mixed Doubles tennis leagues.
All interested players are welcome to attend.

Waimea baseball registration coming up
The Waimea Youth Baseball Association will hold its 2007 season registration on Jan. 30 and 31 and Feb. 1 from 4:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the Waimea Canyon School Park Pavilion.
Registration covers the 2007 Mustang, Bronco and Pony baseball season.
Players between 9 and 14 (by April 30) are eligible to participate in one of these programs.
Parents should bring a copy of the player’s birth certificate, medical insurance card and registration fee of $80 for Mustang and Bronco programs, or $90 for the Pony program.

Women golfers of all levels, as well as visitors and snowbirds, are welcome to join the Women’s Kiahuna Golf Club.
The club plays each Tuesday at the Kiahuna Golf Club in Po‘ipu.
