HONOLULU — Individual tickets are on sale now for the 2007 University of Hawai‘i men’s volleyball home matches, states a press release from the University of Hawai‘i athletic department.
Head Coach Mike Wilton enters his 15th season at the helm directing the Warriors. He is the all-time winningest coach at UH, accumulating a 285-119 record.
The Warriors, who went 23-5 a year ago, return All-Americans Brian Beckwith, setter, and Lauri Hakala, outside hitter, along with middle blocker Dio Dante.
Hawai‘i gets underway with a pair of exhibition matches against British Columbia of Canada Jan. 3 and 5 before opening the regular and Mountain Pacific Sports Federation seasons at UC Irvine, Jan. 12-13.
The home opener for the Warriors is Jan. 18-19 when they host Pacific. The 13th Outrigger Hotels Invitational is the following week with a field of Brigham Young, Penn State and Loyola-Chicago.
UH then hosts matches against UC Santa Barbara (Feb. 8-9), USC (Feb. 14 and 16), Alumni (March 2 doubleheader), Pepperdine (March 8 and 10), Cal State Northridge (March 16-17), Lewis (March 23-24) and Stanford (April 13-14).
