There are about 90 dancers and 22 sequences for Aloha Dance Studio’s one-night only performance of “A Holly Jolly Holiday” at the Kaua‘i War Memorial Convention Hall.
The show is tomorrow at 6 p.m.
“It’s all different styles of dance,” said owner, director and head choreographer Tiffany Dodge. “There’s ballet, there’s jazz and hip-hop. It’ll be a great show for all ages.”
The dancers, as young as 3 years old, come from all the studio’s classes.
“We’ve been working on this since back in August,” Dodge said. “They’re all very distinct dances. I have the junior and senior company doing the opening. Since it’s ‘A Holly Jolly Holiday,’ they’ll be dancing to ‘It’s a Holly Jolly Christmas.’”
The dance studio performs two major shows a year. The first in May and the second in December. This April, Dodge will be celebrating the studio’s fifth anniversary.
New classes begin in January. New students may register from now through Jan. 3.
