The Salvation Army is in the throes of arranging its annual Thanksgiving luncheon.
Each year the Lihu‘e Corps of the Salvation Army holds the luncheon at the Kaua‘i War Memorial Convention Hall the day before Thanksgiving.
This year’s meal will be served Wednesday from 10 a.m. to noon.
It is open to all and all are invited to enjoy a traditional Thanksgiving meal. Lunch will include turkey and all the trimmings donated by local businesses.
The “fixins” will include mashed potatoes and gravy, stuffing, cranberries, vegetables, rolls and pumpkin squares for dessert.
Larry Rivera will provide the entertainment this year, as will the Senior ‘Ukulele Band from the Lihu‘e Senior Center.
The Hanapepe Corps of the Salvation Army will also serve its annual Thanksgiving luncheon from 10 a.m. to noon Wednesday, at the Hanapepe Corps next to the ballpark in Hanapepe.
Everyone is invited to attend the Hanapepe meal as well.
Entertainment will be provided by the seniors from the Kekaha, Waimea, Kaumakani, Hanapepe and Kalaheo senior centers.
