The next Kaua‘i Lifeguard Association meeting is scheduled for tomorrow at 6:30 p.m. in the Lihu‘e Library conference room. Anyone interested in becoming a lifeguard is encouraged to attend.
“We want to expand our membership to include the general public who can provide us with a broader perspective on building ocean safety awareness,” Kalani Vierra, Ocean Safety Bureau supervisor and KLA member, said in a release.
KLA’s mission, a five-year plan for the Kaua‘i Ocean Safety Bureau, the impacts of Act 170 and Act 190, the first annual Kaua‘i Ocean Safety Conference and a summary of the Kaua‘i Junior Lifeguard Program will all be covered at the meeting.
