On Sunday the Kaua‘i Motocross Riders Association will hold Race 4 of its Kauai MX Super Race Series at the Wailua Motocross Track. All levels of rider proficiency are welcome to pre-register at the track on Saturday from 11 a.m.
On Sunday the Kaua‘i Motocross Riders Association will hold Race 4 of its Kauai MX Super Race Series at the Wailua Motocross Track.
All levels of rider proficiency are welcome to pre-register at the track on Saturday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. or show up for registration between 7 a.m. and 8 a.m. on Sunday morning before the riders’ meeting and practice laps. Racing starts at 8 a.m.
Entry fee is $25 per class in advance, or $30 on Sunday. Entry forms are available at Two Wheels in Kapa‘a or Suzuki of Kaua‘i in the Puhi Industrial Park.
Throughout the day, racers will enjoy prize drawings, a food booth and tons of red-hot racing action from the keiki minis to the high-flying experts.

Congratulations and a friendly back-slap go out to Dennis Hagenbuch from Valhalla, N.Y., who drained a hole-in-one from 176 yards out on No. 6 at the Puakea Golf Course on Oct. 16.
On hand to witness Hagenbuch’s first ace were Mary Hagenbuch and Ken Burgess.
Hagenbuch used a 6-iron to make the shot.

Hold your pom poms … The date of the 2006 KIF Cheerleading Championship has moved from Saturday, Nov. 10 to Saturday, Dec. 9 at the Kaua‘i High School gymnasium.
Doors open at 11:30 a.m. and competition begins at noon. Promptness is encouraged and appreciated. Once the performances start, doors to the gym will close.
Tickets cost $5 for attendees aged 13 and up and are available from any high school cheerleader. For kids under 13, it’s $3.

Youth baseball
hits home
Registration for the Waimea Youth Baseball Association’s 2007 Shetland and Pinto baseball seasons will run Nov. 7 to 9 from 4:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Waimea Canyon School Park. Children ages 5 to 9 (by April 30, 2007) may participate.
Parents should bring copies of the child’s birth certificate, medical insurance card and the registration fee of $50.
