A walk to remember

The Alzheimer’s Association’s national fund-raiser, Memory Walk 2006, starts throughout Hawai‘i tomorrow from 7 a.m. to 10 a.m.

The theme is “Join the walk that millions will never forget,” in recognition of the individuals, caregivers and service providers that work through the challenges presented by Alzheimer’s disease, a release states.

For Kaua‘i, the goal is 200 walkers and volunteers, and $10,000. All money raised by Kaua‘i County will go back into Alzheimer’s treatment in Kaua‘i County.

Kukui Grove Shopping Center is hosting the event.
