Getting ready for the race
The third in the series of “Get Ready for the Race” workshops is Saturday at 9 a.m. at The Bone & Joint Center of Kauai Medical Clinic, in preparation for the Nov. 4 Annual Old Koloa Sugar Mill Walk/Run.
Orthopedic surgeon Dr. David Rovinsky will speak in Wilcox Memorial Hospital Conference Rooms B and C.

The 10th Annual Hawaii Music Awards is now accepting CDs recorded during 2006. Register online for free at www.hawaiimusicawards.com.

Women’s movie run begins at KCC
The YWCA of Kauai Sexual Assault Treatment Program is partnering with the Committee on the Status of Women to bring three films to the island. “My Left Breast,” “Complaints of a Dutiful Daughter” and “The Pill” will be shown at KCC Technology Building, Room 114 starting today at 6 p.m. and continue each Thursday until the end of the month.
