Bridge results

Members of the North Shore and Poalua Bridge Clubs meet every Thursday at Sun Village behind Wilcox Memorial Hospital in Lihu‘e at 9 a.m. This is the oldest bridge club on the island and visitors are always welcome to play. This week the club had an elegant 100th birthday luncheon for Anna Sloggett.

Winners of Thursday’s Howell Movement were Evelyn Laureta and Asa Shibata in first, Jane Nearing Go and Betty Moore in second and Lil Riley and Deborah Byrnes in third.

The Sunrise Duplicate Bridge Club plays each Thursday at the Church of the Pacific Hall in Princeville at 9 a.m. The club welcomes visitors and part-time vacationers.

The Sunset Duplicate Bridge Club plays each Saturday at the Church of the Pacific Hall in Princeville at 1 p.m. This long-established club conducts friendly and competitive play for all island players.
