LIHU‘E — Mike Baker, the head coach and advisor for the University of Hawai‘i cheer squad, will be the camp coordinator for the free Speed & Quickness Cheer Camp scheduled for Monday and Tuesday, June 5-6. The camps will be held at the Isenberg Field and is open to youngsters 7 years and older.
Joining Baker will be UH cheerleaders Eric Betis, Kelvin Lam, Amanda Lucerno, Trish Silvernail, and Kainoa Rudolfo.
Aspiring pepsters aged between 7 and 12 years old are asked to attend the clinic that runs from 3 to 5:30 p.m., and youngsters 13 years and older are invited to participate in the camp that runs from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. on each day.
The clinics are free to youngsters, sponsored by the County of Kaua‘i said Roy Nishida, the county’s anti-drug coordinator.
Participants are asked to report to the camp at least 45 minutes before the starting time for pre-registration.
