Tadashi Mizuo

Tadashi Mizuo of Lihu‘e, died at Regency at Puakea on May 19, 2006, at the age of 93.

Born in Hanapepe on Nov. 22, 1912, he was a salesman with Kauai Commercial.

He is survived by his wife, Mitsue Mizuo; three sons, Dennis Mizuo of Honolulu, O‘ahu, Kenneth Mizuo of Kaua‘i and Gary Mizuo of Honolulu, O‘ahu; daughter, Joyce Hayashi of Honolulu, O‘ahu; eight grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Services were private. Family request no flowers and no Kodan.

Arrangements were handled by Garden Island Mortuary, Ltd.

Tetsuo Konishi

Tetsuo Konishi of Lawai, died at Wilcox Memorial Hospital on May 25, 2006, at the age of 81.

Born in ‘Oma‘o, on Aug. 30, 1924, he was an irrigation supervisor with McBryde Sugar Company.

He is survived by his wife, Aileen Konishi; two sons, Alan (Gayle) Konishi and Nathan (Linda) Konishi both of Lawai; two daughters, Iris (Wayne) Cober of Kihei, Maui and Rachel (Chris) Kaminaka of Honolulu, O‘ahu; eight grandchildren; three brothers, Gary (Margie) Konishi of Lihue, Donald (Mildred) Konishi of Omao and Michael (Ruby) Konishi of Honolulu; five sisters, Kimiyo Asai of Lawai, Natsue Iwamoto of ‘Ele‘ele, Violet (George) Sato of ‘Ele‘ele, Linda (Yoshito) Kawakami of Lawai and Elaine Kaneko of New Mill; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral service has been scheduled at 4 p.m. on Tuesday, May 30, at the Garden Island Mortuary Chapel. Casual attire is suggested and that flowers be omitted.
