Congratulations to Wayne Mukai and all the Workforce people on another great Job Fair!
Edie Ignacio was checking things out, and is already gearing up for the summer Speed & Quickness clinics. Stay tuned for details as they become available.
Neal Sams is back! Orchid Alley is inside (for now), but won one of the American Orchid Society Certificate of Cultural Merit. Nancy Nakama got the AOS Highly Commended award at the Kaua‘i Orchid Society show and sale. Happy Birthday to Wilbur Chang who got to celebrate his special day doing AOS judging chores!
Max Ramos said he hasn’t been here for over 30 years, but says it’s still beautiful, and Jacqueline Lucas-Lara said this was her first trip here … hope she had a chance to check out Dean and Lei Nakayama’s malasadas or “maple bars.”
Good luck to all the graduates from KCC who graduated Friday night. Chancellor Peggy Cha was at the Job Fair Saturday and said it was graduation, Friday, registration, Saturday… life goes on.
Brian Yamamoto was at the Conservation Conference Friday and still made it to graduation, and for those who missed Sam Henriques at the HHSAA state tennis, she graduated Friday night as well.
Bill Spitz discovered the hamburger place at the Aloha Beach Resort (congratulations to Bea whose daughter was graduating from KCC), and hats off to Jackie Kozak and all the planning committee on a great conference!
Sabra Kauka was at the conference and out in Waimea for the Westside Family Celebration, too.
