The Kaua‘i Historical Society annual meeting is at 4 p.m. today in the council chambers of the historic County Building, according to the Kaua‘i Historical Society winter/spring newsletter.
The agenda will include a discussion of the society’s goals in the year ahead, with a focus on the archive’s “growing pains” and need for more storage and work space.
After business, there will be a brief break for light refreshments.
Randy Wichman will then present a history of Grace Guslander’s museum collection from the Coco Palms Resort, which is now in archival storage at the Kaua‘i Historical Society offices.
Selected quilts and other unique items will be on display.
Guslander’s extensive collection of books about Hawai‘i and other cultures of the Pacific Basin currently resides in the society’s library, and is used both by staff and researchers.
