The Kauai Society of Artists’ Open Membership Show 2006 will be receiving entries on May 6, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., in the new Kukui Grove Exhibition Hall located near the Macy’s mall entrance.
The show is open to all current KSA members who may submit up to two works in any media no larger than 40 inches in any dimension. New members are welcome to join on entry day.
Entry fees will be $10 per piece, and a $50 showsitting deposit will be required from all artists to be returned at the end of the show to those fulfilling their showsitting duties.
This is not a juried show and KSA will attempt to exhibit all work entered. However, due to possible space limitations, only one work can be guaranteed acceptance.
There will also be awards given. A judge for the exhibit is still to be announced.
An opening reception will be held on May 13 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., and the show will run through June 16, open free to the public from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily, and until 8 p.m. on Fridays.
For more information visit the KSA Web site at www.kauaisocietyofartists.org or call John Davison at 821-8022.
KSA exhibitions are sponsored by KSA with support in part from the Hawai‘i State Foundation on Culture and the Arts through appropriations from the Hawai‘i Legislature and the National Endowment for the Arts. The exhibition space is provided courtesy of Kukui Grove Center.
