“We’ve been going almost every year for about 20 years,” Mokihana head coach Orlando Anaya said.
The Manoe contest is a long course meet in an Olympic-sized pool.
“It’s always a challenge for us. They usually stand up to the challenge. It’s a good warm-up for the Sakamoto Invitational on Maui,” Anaya said.
At the Manoa qualifiers this past Saturday and Sunday, Mokihana got a special treat with swimmers from Las Vegas, Seattle, and Wisconsin participating in the event.
