Bonsai show Sunday at Borders
Members of the Kauai Bonsai Club will host a bonsai show and demonstration at Borders Books, Music, Movies & Cafe at Kukui Marketplace in Lihu’e Sunday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
It is free and open to the public.
This is an annual show.
Huge Easter egg hunt, family day Sunday
Aunty Aloha and members of the Garden Angels invite members of the public to the Eighth Annual Easter Egg Hunt and Family Fun Day that will start at noon Sunday at the Kapa’a Beach Park.
The event is free to members of the public, with age-group Easter egg hunts taking place starting at 1 p.m. and 2 p.m.
Additionally, a variety of family-oriented games and activities will be offered, including hula hoop competition, sack race, obstacle course, limbo, and water-balloon toss. For more information, people can call Pete Gallardo, director of the Garden Angels, at 823-6325.
Egg hunt Saturday in Lihue
Leaders at King’s Chapel church invited all interested to a huge Easter egg hunt, and all-day affair, designed for those ages 0 to 12, Saturday from 10 a.m. at Vidinha Stadium, they said in a press release. There will be over 10,000 eggs, a K.I.D.S. (Kauai Independent Daycare Services, Inc.) show, puppets, prize giveaways, balloons, a clown, shave ice, games, and the Easter bunny.
This year’s grand prize is a bike for one girl and one boy, along with RC (radiocontrolled) cars, boom boxes, and more.
A second grand Easter egg hunt, with all the same activities, games, prizes and more, is planned for 10 a.m. April 15 at Hanapepe Stadium. Call 335-6845 for more information.
