Kaua’i inline hockey playoffs start Friday

The Flyers split their week-end games in the Kaua’i Inline Hockey league at the Kapa’a rink before Sunday thunder-storms cut the weekend short.

The Blackhawks, led by a hat trick from Corey Nemeth, out-gunned the Flyers 6-3 on Friday night in the Squirt Division.

Jacob Lewis powered the Flyers to a 3-2 win Sunday before the thunder and lightning forced the rink to close down.

Penni Taketa, the league’s scorekeeper, said that playoffs for the league will begin starting this Friday at the Kapa’a rink.

Results from the Friday night series and the two Sunday games can be found in the Scoreboard section on B2.
