Kelly Kenichi Ito
Kelly Kenichi Ito died at the Valley Hospital in Las Vegas, Nev. on March 16, 2006, at the age of 63.
Born on Kaua’i on May 28, 1942, he was a retired lieutenant with the Kaua’i Police Department.
He is survived by his wife Janet; two daughters: Pamela Ito (John Cannizzo) of New York, Jenelle Ito of Kapa’a; two granddaughters: Julia and Claire; two brothers: Donald (Sharon) Ito and Chris (Vicky) Ito and a sister, Lorna Ito, all of Honolulu, O’ahu.
Memorial services will be held on Saturday, April 1, at the All Saints Episcopal Church in Kapa’a with visitation from 9 a.m., services beginning at 10 a.m. Casual attire is suggested and that flowers be omitted.
Cremation was handled by the Davis Funeral Home in Las Vegas, Nev.
Anecito Sahot
Anecito “Tito” Sahot of Lihu’e, died at Wilcox Memorial Hospital on March 10, 2006, at the age of 76.
Born in Kekaha on Jan. 4, 1930, he is survived by two sisters, Dora (Joseph) Tinao of Kailua-Kona and Theresa Benzon of Lihu’e; numerous aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral service has been scheduled at 9 a.m. on Saturday, April 1, at St. Theresa’s Catholic Church in Kekaha. Casual attire is suggested.
Arrangements are being handled by Garden Island Mortuary, Ltd.
Betty Kellie
Betty Kellie of Hanalei died March 25, 2006, at Wilcox Memorial Hospital at the age of 82.
Born Feb. 14, 1924, in Indiana, she was an accountant.
She is survived by her husband: William Fred Kellie of Hanalei; daughter: Nancy Kellie of Hanalei; two sons: Dan Kellie of Washington and Tom Kullie of China.
Services will be held at a later date. Arrangements are being handled by the staff of Borthwick Kauai Mortuary.
Manuel J. Carveiro, Jr.
Manuel J. Carveiro, Jr. of Hanapepe, died March 24, 2006, at Garden Isle Healthcare Center at the age of 74.
Born Jan. 23, 1932, in Waimea, he was a truck driver.
He is survived by his wife: Leonora Carveiro; two daughters: Brenda (Charles) Sherman and Jocelyn (Luis) Soltren; four brothers: Robert Carveiro, Richard (Lydia) Carveiro, Lawrence (Gwen) Carveiro, and Albert (Maxine) Carveiro; six grand-children and numerous nieces and nephews.
Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. at ‘Ele’ele Sacred Hearts Church at 10 a.m. on Friday, March 31. Burial to follow at Hanapepe Public Cemetery.
Casual attire is suggested. Arrangements are being handled by the staff of Borthwick Kauai Mortuary.

Jeffrey (Jeff) Scott Turner died March 11, 2006, at the age of 56.
Born July 8, 1949, in Los Angeles, Calif., he is survived by his brother Stephen Turner and his mother Jeanne Richards, both of Califorina.
There will be a memorial service at the Hale Ohana Apts. in Koloa on Aprl 1, at 11 a.m. in the pavilion area. Casual attire is requested.

Henry Fukushima
Henry Hisamitsu Fukushima of Honolulu, died at Kuakini Medical Center on March 5, 2006, at the age of 78.
Born Jan. 14, 1928, in Kapa’a, he was a retired general contractor.
He is survived by his former wife, Rose, of Honolulu; sons: Carl of Mililani and Kris of Honolulu; daughters, Karen Roldan of Honolulu, Claire Domdoma of Kaneohe, Carol Hopkins of Honolulu; three grandchildren; sisters: Grace Hikida of Kailua, O’ahu, Nancy Matsuda of Pearl City and Edna Kawasaki of Korea; brothers, Albert of Kapa’a, Paul of Aberdeen, MD., Edward of Waipahu, Joseph of Wailuku, Maui; Raymond and Richard of Kapa’a. Private services were held. The family requests no monetary gifts be given.
Rizal S. Andres
Rizal S. Andres of Hanama’ulu, died March 23, 2006, at Wilcox Memorial Hospital at the age of 83.
Born June 16, 1922, in the Philippines, he was a retired landscaper for Kauai Nursery.
He is survived by his wife: Saturnina Andres; three daughters: Doreen (Ignacio) Baliza, Adriana Andres, Rose (Prudencio) Labutong, Sr.; one son: Artemio (Minda) Andres; three sisters: Monsorate Amista of the Philippines; Marcelina (Monico) Louis of Honolulu, and Erlinda Andrews of the Philippines; 12 grandchildren; 26 great-grand-children; numerous nieces and nephews.
Family and friends may call on Friday, March 31, at Borthwick Mortuary Chapel in Koloa from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. and again on Saturday, April 1, at Immaculate Conception Church from 8 a.m. to 9:45 a.m. where Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. by Father Bill.
Burial to follow at Lihue Cemetery.
