Charter Commission meeting on
Members of the Kaua‘i County Charter Commission are encouraging members of the public to attend a public informational meeting on charter-amendment proposals, on Monday at 6:30 p.m. at the Kilauea Neighborhood Center, they said in a press release.

April 7 is deadline for Zonta award
Applications for the 2006 Young Women in Public Affairs Award are now available from all high school senior counselors, said a spokesperson for the sponsoring Zonta Club of Kauai in a press release.
The original mid-March application deadline has been extended to April 7 due to the continuing bad weather.
Applications are due to the Zonta Club of Kauai, P.O. Box 3032, Lihu‘e, HI 96766. Applicants must be pre-university or pre-college students (ages 16 to 20).
