No surprises once again in KIF golf yesterday, as the Red Raiders continued to roll with a victory in both the girls and boys matches at the Princeville Makai Golf Course.
The Red Raider boys came up with a 301 total, led by Kellen Watabu (71), Mike Garcia (72), Chad Nonaka (79), and Nikko Tacsiat (79). Taylor Bell also performed well with a 76.
The Menehune finished in second with a score of 342. Noel Torres (76), Grant Paiste (85), Thad Fuji (87), and Markland Soliva (94) paced the Waimea surge.
Kapa’a was right behind with a 343, as Travis Toguchi (75), Jett Levinthol (85), Bronzon Winters (87), and Conrad Dreisch (89) leading the way. Kula’s Sean Ogawa shot a 72 and his brother Cyrus carded a 76.
In the girls matches, Kaua’i took the top spot, with Miki Ueoka (75), Rae-Lyn Morikawa (95), and Kristi Rapozo (114) pacing the Red Raider reign.
Kapa’a’s Malia Saiki carded an 86 and Leslyn Ibara was Waimea’s lone golfer.
