  • The hotel-occupancy figure for the island of Kaua’i slipped

    slightly in January, to 69.1 percent compared to 71.7 percent in

    the same month last year, according to figures in a press release

    from Smith Travel Research and Hospitality Advisors LLC. Revenue

    per available room (RevPAR) increased, however, to $129.87 in

    January of this year, from $125.30 in January of 2005, while

    average daily room rates moved up to $187.95 in January of this

    year, from $174.75 during January of 2005.
