Two young people who met at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in Prescott, Ariz., while both were studying for their master’s degrees, will wed next month in the bride-to-be’s hometown.
Elpidio “Tony” and Lori Cardenas of Lawa‘i recently announced the engagement of their son, Michael Anthony Cardenas, to Amanda Marie Boysun. Boysun is the daughter of Dan and Shelley Boysun of Billings, Mont. Michael Cardenas is a 1998 graduate of Kaua‘i High School who holds a master’s degree in aviation safety science and a bachelor’s degree in aeronautical science, both from Embry-Riddle’s Arizona campus.
He is a flight instructor and safety coordinator with the Regional Airline Academy in Mesa, Ariz.
Boysun holds her master’s degree in aviation safety science from Embry-Riddle in Arizona, after achieving her bachelor’s degree in psychology from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in Daytona Beach, Fla. She is a systems engineer with Raytheon in Tucson, Ariz. The wedding will take place April 22, at St. Bernard Church in Billings, Mont.
