Lewis gets a hat trick and 1

WAILUA — Jacob Lewis scored four goals and Justin Nagashi added two as Kilakila blanked the Hanalei Chargers 6-0 Saturday.

Despite the score, coach Kevin Gusman worked his 10 and Under Kilakila boys as if the game was playing under 0-0 stalemate scenario.

Following the game, the Chargers coach told his boys that they’re a new team, and losses are part of the road towards winning.

That game was one of a full slate as the Kaua’i Soccer Association (KSA) entered its second week of play at both the Wailua Houselots Park and the Kapa’a Beach Park.

This weekend’s games return to the North Vidinha fields starting at 8:30 a.m. on Saturday.

Full results as well as Saturday’s schedule can be found in the Scoreboard section on page B2.
