Island School sophomore Ben Baldwin earned two medals, yesterday on the Big Island, at the HHSAA/Local Motion Swimming and Diving Championships. Baldwin took fifth in the 200 IM (2:02.86) and fourth in the 500 free (4:54.55).
Meanwhile, Kaua‘i senior Jarred Perry stole two medals as well, with an eighth place finish in the 50 free (22.70) and a seventh place finish in the 100 backstroke (57.47). Teammate Keenan Anaya grabbed an eighth place showing in the 100 butterfly (55.10). The Kaua‘i boys 400 free relay team (Anaya, Matthew Ross, Kelsey Tanaka, Perry) ended up in eighth place (3:31.25).
