As the KIF boys basketball season comes to an end, the girls are about to begin another preseason set of contests, starting tonight, with Kaua‘i hosting Punahou II at 7 p.m.
The BuffnBlu then travel to the Bernice Hundley Gymnasium tomorrow to face the Warriors, also at 7 p.m.
The ILH team heads west to Waimea to battle the Menehune on Saturday at 7 p.m.
The Menehune boys basketball team, the 2005-06 KIF champions are trying to keep their state tournament consolation run alive, against the BIIF’s Honoka‘a, today at 10:45 a.m.
A win would let Waimea play one more game, but a loss would eliminate the westside squad from tournament play.
If Waimea defeats the Dragons, then they move on to the consolation championship game to face the winner of the St. Louis/Lahainaluna contest, tomorrow at 2:30 p.m. at the Stan Sheriff Center.
