Pro surfing tours hit the water next week

Kaua‘i surfers, Keala Kennelly,

Rochelle Ballard, Andy and Bruce Irons, and Roy Powers,

start their 2006 ASP World Tour schedules next week, with the men hitting the beach on Feb. 28-March 12 in Gold Coast, Australia, for the Quiksilver Pro and the women beginning world competition in the Roxy Pro.

The tour heads to Bells Beach, Australia, in early April for the second event of the season.

The World Qualifying Series (WQS) commences on March 17-19 in Durban, South Africa, for the Baggies Pro.

Kaua‘i surfers in the WQS include Dustin Barca, Evan Valiere,

and Jesse Merle-Jones.
