Constancio ‘Slats’ Paden
Constancio ‘Slats’ Paden of Koloa, died Jan. 28, 2006, at Wilcox Memorial Hospital at the age of 69.
Born Feb. 24, 1936, on Kaua‘i, he was a utility truck driver and Koloa School crossing guard.
He is survived by his wife: Linda Paden of Koloa; three sons: Christopher Paden of Koloa, Carl Paden of California, and Cory Paden of Lihu‘e; one brother: Ernesto (Rose) Paden of Koloa; three sisters: Lucy (Andy) Alcares of California, Sophia Cagalawan of Kaua‘i and Florence (James) Lewis of Las Vegas; three grandchildren: Ashlyne (Tim) Jeffery, Ahlyssa Paden, Cody Paden, three great-grandchildren: Tyler, Sage, and Caleb Paden; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends may visit with the family from 9 a.m. to 10:15 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 4, at St. Raphael’s Church in Koloa where Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Burial to folow at St. Raphael’s Church Cemetery in Koloa.
Casual attire is suggested. Arrangements are being handled by Borthwick Kauai Mortuary
Eugene ‘Gene’ Moura
Eugene “Gene” Moura of Honolulu and formerly of Kaua‘i, died Jan. 23, 2006, at Queen’s Medical Center at the age of 69.
Born Aug. 12, 1936, in Honolulu, he was an elevator mechanic foreman.
He is survived by his wife, Marilyn; children, Corri Moura-Smith, Sharnell Moura-Onaga, Chadrick Moura-Milare, Christopher Moura and Christallyn Moura; sisters, Nettie Hill and Edna Rapozo; and six grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 4, at Borthwick Mortuary on O‘ahu; service at noon followed by burial at 3 p.m. at Hawaiian Memorial Park Cemetery.
Aloha attire is suggested. Arrangements are being handled by Borthwick Mortuary
Sandra Mendonca Galas
Sandra Mendonca Galas of ‘Ele‘ele, died Jan. 26, 2006, at Wilcox Memorial Hospital at the age of 27.
Born May 15, 1978, in Japan, she was an assistant food and beverage manager for the Grand Hyatt in Po‘ipu.
She is survived by two sons: Austin Galas and Braden Galas, parents: Lawrence “Larry” and Toshie Mendonca; grandmother: Emily Mendonca, brother: Lawrence Mendonca, Jr., and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
Friends may visit with the family from 9 a.m. to 10:15 a.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 7, at Holy Cross Church in Kalaheo where Mass will be celebrateda t 10:30 a.m. by Father Nap. Burial to follow at Holy Cross Church cemetery.
The family suggests casual attire.
