Citing a tenant mix irresistible to resident and visitor shoppers, the manager of Kukui Grove Center said center merchants recorded their bestever holiday sales at the end of 2005.
“The holiday season was excellent, by far our best sales season on record,” said Wade Lord, Kukui Grove Center general manager.
New tenants created a “synergy, critical mass,” and an “excitement that made people think of Kukui Grove Center first” when it was time to shop, he said.
Lord also attributes the record-breaking holiday shopping results “to bigger things going on in the market,” including a robust economy, low unemployment, and high levels of discretionary income, he said.
He is not allowed to disclose specific sales figures.
Finally, he credits center renovation and marketing efforts for helping merchants achieve the record sales results, Lord said.
