Tutor workshop planned

There will be a volunteer tutor training workshop Jan. 24 and Jan. 25 from 3:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Kauai Community School For Adults on Lala Road in Lihu‘e.

Volunteers are needed to provide tutorial instruction to adults 18 and older, who need help in reading, writing, speaking, and math.

Kaua‘i Charter Commission meets

Members of the Kaua‘i Charter Commission will be having a meeting on Monday at 4:30 p.m. at the Lihu‘e Civic Center, Mo‘ikeha Building first-floor conference room.

Members of the public are encouraged to attend and provide input, according to a press release.
