ImaginAsian television, America’s first 24-hour Asian-American television network, launches its debut on Oceanic Digital Cable today on channel 546, bringing top-pan-Asian programming to digital homes throughout Hawai‘i.
In a press release, Imagin-Asian co-founder and Chief Executive Officer Michael Hong said, “ImaginAsian TV looks forward to serving the diverse entertainment and cultural needs of Hawai‘i’s Asian community through our new agreement with Oceanic Time Warner Cable.” ImaginAsian TV debuted on cable networks across the country in August 2004, broadcasting anime, hit drama series, Asian blockbuster films, documentaries, music, sports and variety programs, and will also feature original programs.
All programming will be either in English or be English-subtitled.
Executives that produce the television network also produce ImaginAsian Theater, an Asian-American Theater in New York, ImaginAsian Radio and iaLink, a community-based e-zine. For more information on the network, visit www.iatv.tv.
