Big battle in Hanapepe

After falling to Kapa’a (1-1) last week, the Red Raider boys soccer squad can ill afford to lose on Saturday against the first-place Menehune team.

Waimea (1-0) comes into tomorrow’s match with an impressive win over Kapa’a in the KIF’s soccer opener on Dec. 3.

Another win on Saturday would put Kaua’i (0-1) down by two games in the loss column.

The Red Raider girls are also hoping for a victory against the Menehune, who fell victim to Kapa’a on Dec. 3.

The Warrior girls are in first-place with a 2-0 record, after a convincing win over the Red Raiders last weekend.

The JV girls start the contests off at 10 a.m., followed by the JV boys at 11:45 a.m. Varsity action begins at 1:30 p.m.

The junior varsity-only matches start up on Dec. 21 at Hanapepe Stadium, starting at 5 p.m. A varsity-only match follows the next day (Dec. 22), with Kapa’a battling Waimea, also beginning at 5 p.m.
