Shades of Rome?

Attn: Congressmen,

What will it take for Congress to prevent the downfall of our great country? We are day by day, through the policies of the unelected Vulcans, headed towards the loss of our freedoms.

Through the leadership of Cheney, total domination by the executive branch of government will be the result. Isn’t control of the press, both here and around the world, of any significance to anybody but citizens? Is torture of suspected terrorists of no importance to any of our congressmen? Is the use of 33 aircraft owned by the CIA, to transport citizens to foreign countries for forced interrogation, illegal here, acceptable to all of you?

You alone have the power to stop this insanity, unless you are a part of it. What section in our Constitution gives the power to the executive branch of our government, to control the actions of foreign governments?

God help us if we continue on the present Cheney course for our country. Your future is also at stake if they are given the power to appoint your replacement if something should happen to you. They would then have no impediment to dictatorial control of our lives.

Are we in the real world the only ones seeing the whole picture of what is happening to this great country? If you can’t stop it, then “Shades of Rome” is truly the destiny of the USA.
