Partners offer something for everyone who loves water

Local boys Ernest “Pali” Carbonel and Chris “Keoni” Martins recently purchased a store and two brands of apparel, Hawaiian Water Movement and Kaua’i Born, from David Ynzunza, founder of Chicks Who Rip, the partners said.

West Kauai Surf and Sport in the Eleele Shopping Center is the store, open for business now, with everything in the store is 15 percent to 20 percent off, until Christmas Eve, when even more sales are planned, Martins said.

“We started this business because we wanted to create high-quality, locally-made products at good prices,” Martins said.

“Our store isn’t just for surfers,” he added. “It’s for anyone who likes to play in the water.”
