Elpidio “Larry” “Jonge” Garma of Kekaha died at Kauai Veterans Memorial Hospital on Nov. 5, 2005 at the age of 72. Born in Mana, Kaua’i, on April 23, 1933, he was a retired cook with a restaurant.
He is survived by his loving companion, Anna Bisano; children, Corinna (Prescott) Chun; Cherisse Kanetoku, Elliot (Jennifer) Garma, Larry (Precious) Garma; Gary Garma, all of O’ahu; hanai children Hisaowen Shih and Yuchen Shih, both of Honolulu; 12 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; sisters and brothers, Florentina (Primotivo) Ames of O’ahu; Juanita (Alejandro) Bungcayao of O’ahu, Bonifacio “Boni” Garma of Kaua’i, Juliana (George) Pascual of O’ahu, and Alfredo (Judy) Garma of O’ahu; numerous uncles, aunties, nieces, nephews and nephews.
Friends may visit with the family from 9-10 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 12, at the St. Theresa Catholic Church in Kekaha; Mass to begin at 10 a.m. Burial to follow at the Kekaha Public Cemetery. Casual attire is suggested.

Donald Kanahele, Jr. of Kekaha, died Nov. 2, 2005, at Wilcox Memorial Hospital at the age of 35.
Born June 26, 1970, in Waimea, he was a Ni’ihau shell lei maker.
He is survived by his parents, Donald and Annie Kanahele, Sr.; two brothers: Kele Kanahele and Joseph (Maryann) Kanahele; five sisters: Anna (Dana) Kaohelaulii, Ida (Kawailani) Kaaumoana, Diane Jolene (Oliwa) Kanahele, Annie (Keaka) Kanahele, Ehu (Isaac) Kanahele; three hanai sisters: Kaleialoha (Kekoa) Roback, Kaanoi (Mikeala) Kanahele, and Kahea (Kaiini) Niau; numerous uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends may visit with the family on Saturday, Nov. 12, from 9 a.m. at Borthwick Kauai Mortuary in Koloa, where services will be celebrated at 3 p.m. Burial to follow at Kekaha Hawaiian Cemetery.

Jason Kanahele of Kekaha, died Nov. 2, 2005, at Wilcox Hospital at the age of 20.
Born July 23, 1985 in Waimea, he was a warehouse worker for Kauai Freight.
He is survived by his parents George “Keaka” and Annie Kanahele of Ni’ihau, four sisters: Georgiana Nawai (Kalei) Kahale of Kekaha; Tiffany K. Kanahele of Kekaha, Myrahann Kanahele of Kekaha, Kerry-lyann of Kekaha; one brother: Kurtis Kanahele of Kekaha; grandparents: Donald and Annie Kanahele of Ni’ihau, grandmother: Eunice Kanahele of Ni’ihau, hanai parents on Kaua’i: Ehu and Apolani Kanahele of Kekaha; numerous uncles, aunts, and cousins.
