Veronica Duclayan Newall of Kekaha died Oct. 13, 2005, at her home at the age of 55.
Born Sept. 14, 1950, on O’ahu, she was a bookkeeper.
The cherished wife of William Newall, she is also survived by Juliet (Vince) Flores, Liana (Kelly) Gregg, Shannon (Matthew) Taba, Jason (Daisy) Newall, and Kjell Newall; grandmother Flora Tompiat; parents Susie (Irineo) Salvacion and Leon (Evangeline) Duclayan. She was also the sister of Juliet (Pete) Riopta, Gerald (Josie) Pongasi, Johnny (Karen) Pongasi, Bernadette (Samuel) Banasihan, Priscilla (Norman) Akana, Roy (Adele) Duclayan, Avelina (Deanna) Salvacion, Norman (Jayme) Salvacion, Nadine (John) Abreu, Abbilee (Kanani) Salvacion, Larry (Clarissa) Duclayan, Laura Mae Duclayan, Lisa-Ann (Mariano) Duclayan, Lei-Ann (Fred) Duclayan, Larissa (Robert) Ganiron, and Laurena (Jeffrey) Bungsay.
She is also survived by grand-children: Vickie, Julio, Joshua Flores; Kourtney, Kaylah Gregg; Trey, Cole, Aliyah Taba; Jaydi, Kai Newall; and lots of cousins, nieces and nephews.
Friends may visit with the family at 9 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 22, at St. Theresa’s Church in Kekaha, where Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. by Father Larry. Burial to follow at Kauai Veterans Cemetery in Hanapepe.
Casual attire is suggested. Arrangements are being handled by Borthwick Kauai Mortuary.
