Waimea girls, and Kaua’i boys took the lead in KIF JV volleyball, Saturday.
Following the first of the Round Robin Tournament format, the Waimea girls and Kaua’i boys emerged with 20 standings.
The Menehune JV girls bested Kapa’a, 2518, 2516, before taking Kaua’i in three, 1125, 2519, and 158.
On the other side, Kaua’i JV boys downed Waimea in three, 2516, 1625, 157 before getting past Kapa’a, 259, 2522.
Waimea boys finished 11, following their loss to Kaua’i, and picking up a win over Kapa’a, 2518, 2516.
Kaua’i JV girls also got on the bus with a 11 standing after opening with a win over Kapa’a, 2517, 2512.
The Kapa’a JV teams are looking for their first win as they travel to the Kaua’i High School Gym this Saturday, Sept. 17.
