Bisitasion “Bessie” Mardrial Largo of Kekaha, died Aug. 30, 2005, at Wilcox Memorial Hospital at the age of 85.
Born May 26, 1920, in the Philippines, she was a homemaker, mother and grandmother.
Preceded in death by son Napoleon Jamero, daughter Judy Hanohano and granddaughter Raina Jamero, she is survived by the love of her life, Rufo “Papa” Radona; three daughters: Amparo (Dominador) Abalos, Geri (Miyuki) Kawamura, and Dolly (Dodge) Baybayan; six sons: Joe (Ivy) Jamero, Randy (Winnie) Largo, Gary (Leonora) Largo, Leslie (Corrine) Largo, James (Rosaline) Largo, Chris (Rose) Largo, one son-in-law: Ralph Hanohano; one sister: Suzie Delapenia; 27 grandchildren 51 great grandchildren; and 12 great great grandchildren.
Friends may visit with the family from 9 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 10, at Borthwick Mortuary Chapel in Koloa where service will begin at 11 a.m. Burial to follow at Kekaha Public Cemetery.

Tiana Tacub-Guillermo
Tiana Claire Onaonalani Tacub-Guillermo of Hanapepe died on Sept. 1, 2005, at the age of 8.
Born on May 25, 1997, she was a student at King Kaumualii School.
Tiana is survived by her parents: Rogelio Guillermo (Berna Garcia) and Tanya “Nalu” Tacub (Glen Batoon); one brother, Blaze Batoon; one sister, Khiani Guillermo, paternal grand-mother, Constancia Guillermo; maternal grandparents, Arleen Ramos and Eddie Tacub; great grandmothers, Susanna Martinez, Estrella Ramos and Clara Tacub. She was also loved by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Visitation with the family will be on Saturday, Sept. 10, at 9 a.m. at St. Raphael Church in Koloa. Services will begin at 11 a.m. Burial will follow at Kauai Memorial Gardens in Kapaia.

John Souza Carvalho
John Souza Carvalho of Hanama’ulu died on Sept. 5, 2005, at Hale Kupuna Heritage Home at the age of 97.
He was born on May 18, 1908, and retired after 47 years as a superintendent with Lihue Sugar Plantation.
He is survived by his son Howard (Sherrie) Carvalho of Wailua Homesteads, sister, Theresa Johnson of Georgia, five grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation with the family will be on Monday, Sept. 12, at Immaculate Conception Church with viewing from 8 to 9:45 a.m. Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. by Fr. Bill Shannon. Burial will follow at Kauai Memorial Gardens.

David Texeira
David George Texeira, Sr. of Puhi, died at Wilcox Memorial Hospital on Sept. 6, 2005, at the age of 83.
Born in Puhi, on Nov. 11, 1921, he was a water distributor with Lihue Plantation.
He was preceded in death by son, Robert J. Texeira; daughter, Geraldine Girald; brother, Joseph “Sonny” (Millie) Texeira; sister, Margaret Bullock and brothers-in-law, Bill Souza and Joe Getler. He is survived by his wife, Dorothy Texeira; son, David G. “Kimo” (Florence) Texeira Jr., of Puhi; two daughters, Donna M. (Herman) Texeira of Lihu’e and Shanlyne M. (Eddie) Resinto of Puhi; grandchildren, Robert G. Girald II, Crissy N.G. (Isidro) Cun-Lara, Kim (Blaise) Silva, Keoki Texeira, Summer (Linda) Texeira, Kaipo D. Texeira, E.J. Resinto, Kanani J. Bacle and Ridge K. Resinto; great-grand-children: Kawika M. Texeira, Brayden M. Perez, Dakota L. Cun-Lara, David Josiah Texeira, Blaine J. Silva, Keenan M. Texeira, Blaise K. Silva and Sierrra K. Cun-Lara; brother, Billy (Ida) Texeira; four sisters, Gussie Souza, Beatrice Lang, Frances Getler and Dorothy (Albert) Moura; numerous uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends may visit with the family from 9-10 a.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 13, at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church; Mass officiated by Father Bill Shannon will begin at 10 a.m. followed by burial at the church cemetery.

George V. Kalisik
George V. Kalisik died Sept. 5, 2005, at Wilcox Memorial Hospital in Lihu’e.
He was employed for 12 years by the County of Kauai as a Coastal Zone Planner.
He is survived by Shannon Wylie, his significant other, and brothers Gerald Kalisik, Jimmy Kalisik and John Kalisik and, sisters Judy Overhouse and Jackie Garber. George was cremated by Kauai Memorial Gardens and his ashes will scattered Thanksgiving Day.
Raymond Fulwiler
Raymond D. Fulwiler, a part- time resident of Wailua Homesteads, died at home in Brussels, Wisc. on Sept. 2, 2005, at the age of 77.
In 1966, he followed his entrepreneurial dreams starting Wisconsin Label Corp. (now WS Packaging Group, Inc.).
He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Kitty, and six children: Terry (Kris) Fulwiler, Sara (Tom) Hahn, Dave (Kay) Fulwiler, Dan (Mary Pickett) Fulwiler, Russ (Kathy) Fulwiler, and Mary (Tom) Grovogel. He is survived by nine grandchildren; one great grand child; one sister-in-law, Mary Fulwiler; one brother-in-law, Jim Gerondale; several nephews and nieces.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ray and Dorothy, and brother, Stan.
A memorial service for Ray was held at Schinderle Funeral Home in Algoma on Monday, Sept. 5.

Howell Hawila Kaleohano Sr.
Howell Hawila Kaleohano Sr. died at his residence in Hanapepe Valley on Sept. 3, 2005, at the age of 71.
He was preceded in death by parents, Howard Hawila Kaleohano and Mabel Ulumahiehie (Kahale) Kaleohano; sister Mary Ann (Masichi) Shimazu and granddaughter, Daysia Pomaikai Manaia CheeLee.
Born on July 15, 1934, in Puuwai, Ni’ihau, he was a supervisor for Gay and Robinson Sugar Co. for 44 years and retired from the United States Army National Guard.
He is survived by his wife, Betty (Kaohi) Kaleohano; son, Howell K. (Debbie) Kaleohano of Hanapepe; daughters, Terilynn K. (Steven) Denson of Hau’ula, Ranette K. (Roger) Kilpatrick of Hanapepe, Sheldeen K. (Gary) Haleamau of Las Vegas, Darnelle K. Johnson of Las Vegas; 14 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Edward (Margaret) Kahale and Henry Kahale; four sisters, Lily Kahale Mina, Elena Kanahele, Mabel (Lawrence) Kaneapua and Emmaline (Alfred) Garcia of Port Lavaca, Texas.
Friends and relatives may visit with the family on Saturday, Sept. 10, from 9-10 a.m. with service to start at 10:30 a.m. at Hanapepe Hawaiian Congregational Church; officiated by Kahu Nani Hill and Kahu Richard Chun. Burial to follow at Kauai Veterans Cemetery in Hanapepe.
