Morio Hirota of Lihu‘e died on Aug. 14, 2005, at Wilcox Memorial Hospital, at the age of 93. Born on Feb. 20, 1912 in Lihu‘e, he retired as a mill utility worker with Lihue Plantation.
He is survived by one daughter; Janice (Leonard) Ringor of Lihu‘e; one granddaughter, Kristy Ringor of Honolulu; one grandson; Jason Ringor of Wailuku, Maui; sister-in-law; Ayako Hirota of Lihu‘e, numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Services were private.
Cremation and arrangements were handled by Kauai Memorial Gardens & Funeral Home.
