Not every one in government is unhappy about the outrageous gas prices. There have been huge windfall revenues in excise and road use taxes for state and county taxing agencies from higher gas prices. In my humble opinion, it is time for these taxing bodes to temporarily rescind taxes until this crisis is over and gas prices return to their normal range, before this latest hardhip on our citizens.
This is not just my idea.
The state of Illinois provided this relief for their citizens during the last big oil gouge.
