Kawaihau scored first in the second inning when Paul Gusman crossed the plate on a fielders choice. In the third, Kawaihau came up with six surprise runs off seven base hits off Calvin Fujita, Jack Lucas, Sherwood Iida, Paul Gusman, Frank Kohler and Louis Nuesco. In the fourth, Louis Victorino scored on a K-Makule error and in the seventh Lucas started off with a base hit down the middle followed by Alfonso with a double and Iida with a walk.
Gusman then drew a walk and earned an RBI with Lucas crossing home plate. Frank Kohler then hit into a fielders choice taking out Alfonso for the first out.
Tets Tamashiro hit a sacrifice fly and scored Iida. Nuesco came up with a single on two outs and Teddy Daligdig hit into a fielders choice for the third out and the end of the game. Hitters were: Fujita and Gusman with 2 for 3, Lucas and Nuesco with 2 for 4 plus 3 RBI’s. Losing pitcher was Paul Gusman.
K-Makule scored their first three runs in the bottom of the second inning. First batter-up Guy Ruiz, hit a solo home run. With one out Yuki Shigeta drew a walk and Stan Buduan hit a base single. Herman Fraticelli then placed a hit to center field and scored Shigeta and Buduan. In the second inning, John Taboniar got on with a single and scored on a fielders choice.
In the fifth with one out, Lefty Remata hit a single home run. John Taboniar then drew a walk and Jerry Albarado hit a home run and got two RBI’s. Guy Ruiz followed with a double and scored on a hit by Danny Smith.
Smith also scored on a base hit from Shigeta. In the sixth, Buduan hit a double and scored on a base hit by Ale Otlang. Lefty followed with a hit to right and Otlang came across the plate. Eddie Dela Cruz draws a walk, Taboniar gets a base single and Lefty scores. Albarado then hits into a fielders choice, Taboniar is taken out a second but Dela Cruz scores. Guy Ruiz hits a single to right and Danny Smith drives in Ruiz for run number fifteen. Hitters were: Taboniar, Albarado, Buduan and Lefty Remata with 2 for 3, Smith with 2 for 4, Guy Ruiz with 3 for 4. Winning pitcher was Dela Cruz.

The Lihue A’s came up with two runs on four base hits in the top of the first inning. Dwight Fujii, Peter Rayno, Bruddah Rittmeister, Ernest Domingo all got singles. Herb Honda got on with a K-Makule error in the second and scored on a sacrifice fly from Rayno in the second inning. Lihue came up with three runs in the third with base hit singles from Ismo Yoshishige, Rittmeiste, Domingo, Bardago, and Akina.
Run number seven came across in the fourth inning and in the fifth, Lihue scored three additional runs on hits from Yoshishige, Honda and Rayno. The final run came in the seventh inning on a sacrifice fly hit by Fujii. Hitters were: Akina with 2 or 4, Rittmeister, Domingo, Yoshishige and Rayno with 3 for 4 plus 3 RBI’s for Rayno. Winning pitcher was Rittmeister.
K-Makule scored their first two runs in the bottom of the first. With one runner on, Guy Ruiz gets on with an error and the base runner scores. Danny Smith then send Guy Ruiz home on a double to center. In the fourth, Guy Ruiz hits a double and scores on a double from Smith.
The fifth inning sees the final K-Makule runs when Stan Buduan gets on with a double and scores on a Lihue error off Lefty Remata. Eddie Dela Cruz then gets a base hit and Remata scores.

W Kauai 4, E Kauai 6
West Kauai scored three runs in the top of the first inning. Richard Carveiro drew a walk, Daniel Manus got on with a single and Frank Bukoski hit a double and scored Carveiro and Manus. Junior Rivera hit into a fielders choice and scored Bukoski.
The fourth and final run came in the third on two base hit singles from Bukoski and Pat Pavao.
Hitters were: Bukoski and Maxie Moreno with 2 for 3, Pavao with 3 for 3. Losing pitcher was Joe Tafua.
East Kauai scored a single run in the first inning on a sacrifice fly from Ron Javier. In the third, batters Ronnie Holt and Ron Javier got singles with Javier scoring Holt.
Dickie Koerte drew a walk and Rick Ramones hit a sacrifice fly scoring Javier. Donald Boro then brought in Koerte and Ramones on a base hit and Al Salvador brought Boro across. Hitter for East Kauai was Alex Youn with 2 for 3. Winning pitcher was Ronnie Holt.
Rookies 17, Kuku’s Aces 7
In the first inning, first batter up Nelson Mendonca hit a solo home run and was followed by Raymond Espino and Archie Fontanilla with base hits with Espino scoring and a RBI credited to Fontanilla.
Six runs came across the plate in the third on two errors and hits from Espino, Stanley Dela Cruz, Fontanilla, Hashimoto, Nishikawa and Mendonca. In the fourth, Espino and Hashimoto hit singles and Richard Vidinha hits a home run and earns three RBI’s. Four runs come across in the fifth on hits from Nishikawa, Mendonca, Mike Folster, Espino, Dela Cruz and Hashimoto.
The final two runs were scored in the sixth. Nobu Munechika draws a walk, Nishikawa and Mendonca get base hits, and Nobu and Nishikawa scores. Hitters were: Dela Cruz with 3 for 5, Hashimoto with 3 for 4, Nishikawa, Mendonca, and Espino with 4 for 5. Mendonca, Fontanilla and Vidinha had 3 RBI’s each. Winning pitcher was Fontanilla.
The Aces started off with a bang with six runs in the first inning on hits form Ale Lomosad, Gordon Doo, Kaleo Furtado, Ernest Dela Cruz, Stanley Rita and a three run homer from Ben Pescador.
The final Kuku’s run came on the fourth inning with Pescador and Junior Ruiz getting base hits and Pescador scoring on a sacrifice fly by Americo Morris.
Hitters were: Doo, Dela Cruz, Rita, and Pescador with 2 for 3 plus 3 RBI’s for Pescador. Losing pitcher was Rita.
