Minnie Victorino
Minnie Souza Victorino of Kapa‘a, died at home on May 21, 2005, at the age of 92.
She had been a homemaker, baby sitter, substitute teacher and faithful member of St. Catherine’s Church, where she devoted herself to the many duties of the church, which she loved.
Minnie is survived by one daughter: Marlene (Big John) Kauo and daughter-in-law, Victoria (Douglas) Victorino; three granddaughters: Maile Ann Kauo of Kapa‘a, Kimberly (Jay) Manuel of Kona and Jo Lynn (Kalani) Motta of Hilo; and one sister, Sweet Adelaide “Addie” Flores, 98, of Kaneohe. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
Services will be held on Friday, May 27, at St. Catherine’s Church in Kapa‘a. Friends may visit with the family from 9 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. at the church. Mass will be held at 11 a.m.
Burial will follow at St. Catherine’s cemetery. Casual attire is suggested.
Borthwick Mortuary is handling arrangements.

Hatsuko T. Kimura of Honolulu, died March 20, 2005, at Kuakini Medical Center at the age of 97.
Born in Lihu‘e on Nov. 9, 1907, she is survived by her sons, James Kimura and Robert Kimura; daughters, Nancy Oshiro, Elsie Kanezawa, Florence Yoshikawa, brothers, Waichi Takaki, George Takaki and Harry Takaki; sister, Shizuko Shinmura; 11 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren.
Private services were held. Arrangements were handled by Borthwick Mortuary.
