Boys and girls aged between 6 and 13 years old are welcome to register for the University of Hawai‘i Soccer Camp.
There will be two sessions of the camp, the first session running from June 7-10 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on each day.
The second session is scheduled for July 19-22 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day.
This camp will focus on individual player development. The week is designed to teach the camper technical skills such as dribbling, passing, receiving, shooting, and more.
Additionally, the player is put into a tactical (game situation) environment to help improve their overall playing ability and understanding of the game. Groups will be formed according to age and ability.
The camps will be held at the University of Hawai‘i Grass Soccer fields and involves a cost of $150 for each camper who will receive a camp tee shirt and ball.
“Our camp philosophy mirrors our approach to soccer at Hawai‘i where we are committed to each individual player’s development from the ground up. We believe that soccer should be played with style, creativity, and teamwork. Our priority in teaching is to master the ball first, then move on to competitive play and team tactics. I can assure you that my staff will create an intense, passionate soccer environment, inspiring your son or daughter to reach new levels in their game,” said Pinsoom Tenzing, the camp’s director.
