Ekolu Allianic started off the scoring in the first inning for Kapa‘a with an RBI double, scoring Josh Teves, who suffered the loss on the mound for the Warriors.
The Menehune stormed back in the second and third innings, as Broc Santiago scored on an error, Quinton Natividad roped an RBI triple, scoring Castillo, Kane Zalopany slammed an RBI single, scoring Natividad, and Santiago scored on another Warrior error, which made the score, 5-1 in the third.
Kapa‘a’s Jacob Planas came up big with his first hit of the season, which turned out to be a big RBI double, scoring William Valente-Gonsalves.
Castillo notched an RBI single, scoring Kori Sakahashi and Natividad ripped a 2-RBi double scoring Santiago and Castillo for the 12-3 lead in the sixth inning. The Menehune added a couple runs in the seventh for the 14-4 win.
The Red Raiders, the 2005 KIF champions, will head off to O‘ahu at Les Murakami Stadium for the HHSAA State Baseball Tournament from 18-21.
